LE GRAND PALAIS
LE GRAND PALAIS
RESTAURANT / BAR – MARRAKECH

Architecture, interior design for a restaurant and bar in Marrakech.
Le Grand Palais is a jewel right in front of la Place Jemaa El Fna and a few meters from the Koutoubia. This space is unique carrier of the Historical grandiosity of Maghreb with a flare of contemporary culture. An imaginary film set for a remake of Humphrey Bogart’s “Casablanca” directed by Wes Anderson. Combining elements with our “Magic Totalism” (where the unique narrative of a space emerges from the careful combination of disconnected items) we created a colour palette for the reinterpretation of Moroccan traditional carving plaster work on the ceilings.
All art and items were custom made for this project. We worked together with local artisans to create light fittings, textured walls, floors, basins, doors, windows, rugs and small details for the art the table.
It is our tribute to embrace Morocco’s multi-cultural influences into a grand salon destined to big group celebrations of all kinds, where music is the centre stage with a grand white piano in the bar area paired together with local gastronomy.
The location is right there, where everything happens, embedded in the heart of DaDA a cultural centre offering restaurant, bar, night club and art gallery all in one same building.
