Rethinking the Delano Lobby, Dubai

In autumn 2025, we were appointed by Delano Hotels to rethink the lobby of their Dubai property. Under the creative direction of Ben Pundole and execution by Ennismore, the existing 300-sqmtr lobby was updated and restyled to align with the look and feel of the newly reopened iconic Delano Miami.

Drawing on the eclectic spirit of 1990s Delano Miami without replicating it, we created a new atmosphere through a mix of custom-designed furniture, contemporary pieces by designers such as Athena Calderone and Mermelada Estudio, vintage finds sourced from the buzzing souks of Al Quoz, and carefully selected pieces imported from our long-standing suppliers in Marrakesh, Bali, and India.

The result is a grand yet inviting space, where imposing dimensions are softened by curved lines and a rich interplay of textures balances luxury with comfort. At first glance, the lobby unfolds as an open, atmospheric room punctuated by surreal objects and lush tropical plants, all framing the floor-to-ceiling windows and the spectacular backdrop of the Persian Gulf.
