DESCRIPTION:Shadows of Time is a non-narrative art film by Aguascopio\, an all-female collective merging artistic swimming\, costume design\, and drone photography to explore human existence from a macro perspective. Filmed on the Ibiza coast\, the performers create patterns both on land and in the sea. \nFilmed on sandy beaches\, rocky cliffs and other locations such as an ancient lookout tower at sunset and sunrise\, their bodies nearly disappear\, leaving only their elongated shadows to move like fleeting markers of time. Shadows slip through the cracks of time\, and time lingers in the shadows. Spirals and sundial-like shapes are created by the performers in their endless search for living in the present moment.\nFrom above\, the swimmers resemble microorganisms drifting in a Petri dish\, the circles they create evoking time as an infinite loop—unfolding\, dissolving\, and reforming. Blurring past and future\, presence and absence\, Shadows of Time transforms the landscape into a contemplative space where time does not move in a line but in endless cycles.

Several popular reggae artists star in the movie\, including Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace\, Burning Spear\, Gregory Isaacs\, Big Youth\, Dillinger\, Robbie Shakespeare\, and Jacob Miller.\nRockers was originally intended to be a documentary but blossomed into a full-length feature showing the reggae culture at its peak. \n \n“How did a freelance photographer from a remote Greek island direct the greatest reggae feature film to date? This beautifully presented hardback weaves a complex\, entrancing explanation\, revealing in elegiac prose and striking photographs how director Ted Bafaloukos’s sailor father pointed him to the Rhode Island School of Design in 1964 following a random encounter. In 1975\, Ted begins shooting Augustus Pablo and Burning Spear in Brooklyn\, leading to his first trip to Jamaica and the concept of the cinematic reggae venture\, despite being first detained as a suspected CIA agent.
